USAModine Manufacturing Company of Racine, Wisconsin has been selected by The Shyft Group of Novi, Michigan to supply thermal management systems for Shyft Group’s ‘Blue Arc’ brand of Class 3 electric delivery vans, which are slated for production in the middle of next year.

Modine will provide its suite of products under the ‘EVantage’ brand, which it launched earlier this year. These include thermal management systems for batteries and cooling systems for electronics. The EVantage systems will fit alongside the e-powertrain components between the frame rails of the Blue Arc van. Modine claims that this placement provides better protection for the driver and allows for more customisation and cargo space than with externally-mounted battery systems in retrofitted vehicles.
