Modine says that both ‘EVantage’ products are designed to work “seamlessly” in the thermal management of batteries and power electronics, as well as providing air conditioning for the vehicle interior.

The Cabin Climate System boasts 12kW of cooling capacity and 10kW of heating capacity.

Beginning in 2024, Modine’s facility in Pontevico, Italy will make products from the ‘EVantage’ line of thermal management systems, including battery thermal management and electronics cooling systems.

Modine's German subsidiaries are specialists in the manufacture of exhaust gas recirculation coolers, radiators, and charge air cooler modules for automotives power by internal combustion.

The ‘L-CON BTMS’ (“Liquid-Cooled Condenser Battery Thermal Management System”), launched on 24 January, is designed to withstand harsh and rugged environments such as construction sites, mines, and offroad applications.

Modine says it worked together with New Flyer to ensure compatibility between the NMC batteries in the 'Xcelsior Charge NG' bus and Modine's ‘EVantage Battery Thermal Management System’.

Modine will provide its suite of products under the ‘EVantage’ brand, which include thermal management systems for batteries and cooling systems for electronics.

The EVantag Thermal Management Systems range is geared towards regulating battery, traction motor and power electronics temperatures in commercial electric vehicles of all sizes.
