Eaton introduces a 48-volt DC-DC convertor at IAA

Germany / USA – At the 2022 IAA Transportation event in Hannover, Germany, Eaton Corporation of Maumee, Ohio, a power management firm, launched a 48-volt DC-DC convertor to power accessories such as lighting for commercial vehicles and antilock brakes with 48-volt electric systems.
These converters are air-cooled and able to operate in temperatures of up to 85 deg C. The converters are able to be tuned for particular duty cycles using advanced digital control architecture, enabling flexible control modes through firmware adaptation. 500W to 3kW versions are available, input voltage ranges from 28V to 72V, and the convertor is capable of Bi-directional charging.
