Hyvia unveils a hydrogen minibus bus at the Salon Des Maires

Master City Bus H2-Tech at the Salon des Maires

FranceHyvia, a joint venture between Renault Group and Plug Power based in Villiers-Saint-Frédéric, France, unveiled its low-floor Master City Bus H2-Tech at the Salon des Maires last month, in Paris, claiming this to be the first hydrogen urban minibus in Europe. Equipped with a 30-kW fuel cell, a 33-kWh battery and a tank containing 4.5 kg of hydrogen at 350 bar, the bus offers a 300 km range with up to 15 passengers, and a 5-minute refuelling time.

The vehicle is manufactured in Batilly, France and will be available for purchase by mid-2023, with advance orders already from French public transport operator UGAP, and Dutch public transport operator, Stroomlijn.
