TuSimple appoints new CEO and independent director as fallout over FBI investigation continues

USATuSimple Holdings Inc, a developer of autonomous driving tech based in San Diego, California, has announced the appointment of Cheng Lu as CEO and James Lu as Independent Director. These appointments come after former CEO, Xiaodi Hou, was fired for allegedly engaging in illicit technology transfers with Chinese-backed start-up Hydron Inc

Cheng Lu previously served as CEO of the company between September 2020 and March 2022. “I'm returning as TuSimple's CEO with a sense of urgency to put our company back on track,” he said, adding:
