USAModine Manufacturing Company of Racine, Wisconsin has announced that it has been selected to supply battery thermal management systems to New Flyer of America Inc, a subsidiary of the NFI Group based in Crookston, Minnesota, for integration in its newest battery-electric buses.

Introduced in 2021, New Flyer’s ‘Xcelsior Charge NG’ buses are powered by lithium NMC (nickel manganese cobalt) batteries. Modine says it worked together with New Flyer to ensure compatibility between the batteries and Modine’s ‘EVantage Battery Thermal Management System’. No further details of the arrangement between the two companies have been released.
