Murat Aksel, Chief Procurement Officer at MAN
Germany – On 1 January, MAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Munich, Bavaria, appointed Murat Aksel to the Executive Board, carrying responsibility for procurement at the company.
Aksel was recently Chief Purchasing Officer for the Volkswagen Group, the parent company of Traton. Prior to taking up this role in January 2021, he was responsible for purchasing for Volkswagen passenger cars. His career began in 1998 at Opel, since which time he has worked at General Motors, Fiat, and BMW.
