Chile grows 2.1% in sales of commercial vehicles in 2022

Chile - The commercial vehicle market in Chile ended 2022 with a total of 19,160 units registered, representing a growth of 2.1% compared with the 18,766 vehicles sold in 2021. According to ANAC (Associação Nacional Automotriz de Chile), the result is the best in recent years and 44.44% higher than the total of 13,272 sold in 2020, and 17.24% above the volume of 16,342 sold in 2019, before the covid-19 pandemic.
According to the ANAC figures, bus sales grew by 67.1% to 3,122 units from 1,868 in the previous year, mainly due to the expansion of the fleet of urban mobility services carried out by the Red Movilidad line, in Santiago, the country's capital. In December alone, 435 vehicles were delivered and in the four-month period August to November, it received more than 400 units.
