Nikola agrees hydrogen partnerships with Chart and Klean

USA / Canada – Nikola Corporation, a zero-emission truck manufacturer based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, has struck hydrogen infrastructure agreements with two different partners through its ‘Hyla’ brand: cryogenic equipment manufacturer Chart Industries Inc of Ball Ground, Georgia, USA; and waste-to-energy firm Klean Industries Inc of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Nikola has agreed to purchase an unspecified number of liquid hydrogen storage tanks, transport trailers*, and mobile and modular refuelling stations from Chart. The transport trailers are apparently built according to a new lightweight design. In future, Nikola and Chart have agreed to collaborate in the development of hydrogen infrastructure and truck on-board fuel system technologies.
