Hyundai partners with Advent in hydrogen fuel cell technologies

South Korea / USA - Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) has announced it has entered a strategic partnership with US-based fuel-cell manufacturer, Advent Technologies Holdings Inc to help commercialise hydrogen-based power systems globally.

The South Korean vehicle manufacturer, headquartered in Seoul, confirmed the two companies have signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) after it successfully evaluated Advent’s proprietary Membrane Electrode Assembly (“MEA”) technology, a key component in membrane electrode assemblies used in high-temperature fuel cell systems.
