Hyundai Motor America premieres Xcient fuel cell truck at ACT Expo

USA – At the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Anaheim, California, held between 1-4 May 2023, Hyundai Motor America Inc of Fountain Valley, California debuted the ‘Xcient’ fuel-cell electric truck and announced its plans for producing hydrogen fuel and vehicles in North America. 

The hydrogen-fuelled Xcient is a Class 8 truck which was first shown in 2020 and is based on a line of diesel trucks with the same name introduced in 2013. It is the world’s first mass-produced heavy-duty FCE truck and it has been shipped by South Korean parent Hyundai Motor Company to markets including Switzerland, Germany, Israel, South Korea, and New Zealand.
