Hyundai has announced it is expanding its hydrogen truck business in the US through a partnership with California-based non-profit organisation Centre for Transportation and the Environment (CTE).
The partners announced that they are already testing the truck in the U.S., being the first Level 4 self-driving test on a Class 8 fuel cell electric truck to take place in the country.
The Xcient is the world’s first mass-produced heavy-duty FCE truck and it has been shipped by South Korean parent Hyundai Motor Company to markets including Switzerland, Germany, Israel, South Korea, and New Zealand.
