Alexander Dennis Enviro500EV for KMB

Hong Kong / UK – April saw UK bus manufacturer, Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) based in Larbert, Scotland, deliver its first batch of next-generation Enviro500EV electric double-deck buses to Hong Kong transport operator, Kowloon Motor Bus Company (KMB), in time for the operators 90th birthday. The delivery of these 10 vehicles marks ADL’s first Enviro500EV double-deck buses in the Asia-Pacific region.

ADL stated that the Enviro500EV three-axle, fully air-conditioned double-deckers were developed and integrated in-house by ADL’s engineering team. The vehicles use a Voith Electrical Drive System giving it a peak power output of 410kW combined with 472kWh batteries assembled by Impact Clean Power Technology. Each of the new Enviro500EVs will be able to carry up to 130 passengers, with 82 seats available.
