USA – At the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Anaheim, California, held between 1-4 May 2023, Zeus Electric Chassis Inc of White Bear Lake, Minnesota displayed a bucket truck and a box truck based on its Class 5 electric vehicle platform, the ‘Z-19’.

The bucket truck was fitted with a ‘Hi-Ranger LT40’ aerial work platform from Terex which is powered independently of the vehicle battery. Terex said it derives power from a ‘SmartPTO’ system with a capacity of 28.8 kWh supplied by Viatec Inc of Piedmont, South Carolina. The upfitting was carried out by Reading Truck Group LLC and EAVX, both subsidiaries of J B Poindexter & Co.
