Bavaria to invest EUR95m in buses and charging infrastructure

Handover of Quantron Cizaris 12EV

Germany – The state government of Bavaria has announced is investing EUR95m in “climate-friendly” buses and charging infrastructure, following the handover of a battery electric bus from Quantron AG of Gersthofen to local operator Omnibus Amann eK

Through government spending, the state aims to rollout 400 buses with so-called “climate-friendly” drives, along with charging infrastructure, across more than 20 bus depots. (It is not clear whether “climate-friendly” encompasses both battery electric and plug-in hybrids, or if it extends to alternative forms of propulsion.)
