DAF UK completes 5-day 2,000km EV rally with LF electric truck

UK –DAF Trucks UK Ltd of Thame, UK, a subsidiary of Dutch truck manufacturer, DAF Trucks NV based in Eindhoven, Netherlands announced that the DAF 19-tonne LF electric has completed its 5-day 2,000km journey (EV Rally) from Cardiff to Dublin. The event was designed to demonstrate the vehicle’s capabilities.

Manufactured at Leyland Trucks Ltd in Lancashire, the DAF LF Electric is equipped with a PACCAR box-body, 282kWh LFP batteries that provide a 280km range on a single charge and an electric motor that develops 250kW nominal power and nominal torque of 1,200Nm. The truck can be rapidly charged at 150 kW for a quick turn-around.
