Kempower signs agreement with Norwegian food retailer

Scania/ASKO electric trucks

Norway / Finland – Finnish electric charging provider, Kempower OYJ, based in Lahti, Finland, has signed an agreement with Norwegian food retailer, ASKO, to build fast charging infrastructure for its Scania AB* electric trucks at its 13 logistics depots in various parts of Norway. Kempower is set to provide 80 fast charging points to be built at nine of the grocer’s locations by the end of 2023, with the following six locations to follow in the next few years. So far, Kempower has delivered chargers to two locations and seven more locations will be installed this year. The aim for ASKO is to electrify its fleet of 700 trucks by 2026, in line with its sustainability goals.

The framework agreement gives ASKO access to Kempower’s full charging offering including its cloud-based ChargeEye charging management software to manage the electricity supply at its charging depots.
