Electrovaya launches new high-voltage battery

USA / Canada – Toronto, Canada-based battery manufacturer, Electrovaya Inc has launched its Infinity HV battery systems, which are an addition to its existing product range, and are designed for heavy-duty applications such as buses and trucks. With deliveries set for Q4 of 2023, the lithium-ion battery pack comes in two forms, the HV-90 (35 kWh) and HV-180 (70 kWh) and these will serve both 400V and 800V applications. The battery packs are to be assembled at Electrovaya’s Toronto operation in Canada as well as at the company’s new facility in Jamestown, New York, USA. In particular, the Mississauga plant just outside Toronto, will be used for prototyping and product development projects with large-volume production taking place in Jamestown.
With a 25-year projected lifetime, the company claims these are the longest-lasting high-voltage batteries available on the market today.
