Daimler Truck publishes Green Financing Framework to fund ‘green’ projects

Daimler Truck's green future

Germany – Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg has published its Green Financing Framework*, which will allow for the issuance of green bonds, thereby further driving sustainable practices in the pursuit of CO2 production-neutrality by 2039 enshrined in its corporate strategy. These financial instruments will help fund green projects such as the generation of green electricity at its factories. Last month Daimler Truck installed more than 6,000 photovoltaic solar panels on the roof of the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth, Germany, which generates 3,000 MWh of electricity a year.
