Krone celebrates 10 years of production in Turkey

Turkey / Germany – In September this year, trailer manufacturer, Krone Commercial Vehicles SE (a subsidiary of Bernard Krone Holding GmbH & Co KG) of Werlte, celebrated 10 years of production in Turkey at the 229,000 m2 Krone plant in Tire, just south of Izmir.
The Tire plant opened in September 2013, this facility has been servicing local demand and has been supplying 31 different countries in Europe, the Middle and Far East, Africa and South America for over a decade. Krone says that 63 per cent of the trailers produced at this factory are for export. Last year, the facility employed 500 staff and produced 5,500 trailers with a target of 7,000 this year. In addition to the Profi Liner and Mega Liner platform curtainsider semi-trailers, the Box Liner container chassis is produced in Tire.
