Nikola appoints Joseph S Cappello as President of energy division

USA – Nikola Corporation, an electric vehicle manufacturer based in Phoenix, Arizona, has appointed Joseph S Cappello as President of Nikola Energy.

Cappello joins the company from Iwatani Corporation of America, where he has served as Chairman and CEO since 2019. His background is in private equity and the industrial gases sector, having worked for Praxair (now Linde) for 15 years. Crucially for Nikola, he was responsible for managing the company’s merchant hydrogen portfolio, the largest such in the USA at the time.
