Eaton signs supply agreement with first OEM for 48-volt programmable aftertreatment heater controller

USA – Ohio-based power management firm, Eaton Corporation, announced that it has signed its first contract to supply its new 48-volt programmable aftertreatment heater controller to an international OEM. The eHeater controller enables the temperature of the diesel exhaust after-treatment catalyst to be increased rapidly to enable it to reduce exhaust emissions, mainly nitrogen oxide (NOx). The product is seen as aiding those engine manufacturers to better meet current emissions regulation as well as even stricter emissions regulations proposed in the future, such as the upcoming Euro VII standards.
