Phoenix Motor launches electric retrofit kit for medium-duty vehicles

USA – Phoenix Motor Inc of Anaheim, California, has launched sales of its fourth-generation electric drive system as a retrofit kit to fleets looking to electrify their used diesel vehicles.

Phoenix Motor says its e-powertrain is offered with different battery options,¹ providing ranges between 115 and 150 miles. With 100-kW CCS fast charging, the company claims that the batteries can be recharged to a 60% SOC (state of charge) in less than an hour, giving fleets the option to extend the usable range through opportunity charging.
