Traton launches charging solutions service for truck charging in Europe

GermanyTraton SE, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group based in Munich, Bavaria, has announced a new service for locating and paying at European charging stations suitable for commercial vehicles, called “Traton Charging Solutions”.

The idea is to allow customers to find public chargers nearby which can accommodate trucks and pay for charging their vehicles on receipt of a single consolidated invoice. Traton subsidiary Scania has just launched its own such service, which does not require any sign-up or payment of monthly fees. The customer pays one “predictable” price only when the service is used. A similar service is expected to be rolled out by MAN
