Tolv presents retrofitted Renault Master with new branding at Solutrans 2023

France – At Solutrans 2023, held between 21-25 November at Eurexpo in Lyon, France, Tolv of Grenoble presented a retrofitted Renault ‘Master’ van featuring its new branding, following its change of name earlier this year.
Originally called ‘Phoenix Mobility’, Tolv has worked on retrofitting light commercial vehicles with battery electric drivelines since 2018. Wadie Maaninou, CEO of Tolv, told T&BB that the company chose to focus on commercial fleet customers because of the lower risk associated with the market (compared to, say, demand for retrofits of classic cars for private ownership). The company produced around 25 Renault ‘Trafic’ and Master vans with electric powertrains before the Renault Group got involved. Renault contacted Tolv, and the discussions culminated in a partnership agreement, formally broached last year.
