Electrovaya appoints Steven Berkenfeld to the Board of Directors

USA / Canada – Toronto, Canada-based battery manufacturer, Electrovaya Inc has announced the appointment of Steven Berkenfeld to the company’s Board of Directors to enhance the company’s climate technology (cleantech) and provide experience in the capital markets. Berkenfeld has been acting as a special advisor, to company CEO Dr Sankar Das Gupta since he was appointed in 2022.
Berkenfeld retired from an extensive career in Investment Banking in 2019, where he served as Managing Director in investment banking at Barclays Capital. This was after a 21-year career at Lehman Brothers, where he was the Chief Investment Officer. Other roles included Former Board Chair of the Sierra Club Foundation. Berkenfeld holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.S. from Cornell University.
