Germany Daimler Truck AG based in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg, announced increased sales in 2023, with 526,053 trucks and buses sold compared to 520,291 in 2022. Despite supply chain issues, it tripled its BEV sales in 2023 to 3,443, or 277% more than in 2022 (914 units).

In terms of specific segments, the Mercedes-Benz brand sold 158,511 units, some 5% fewer than in 2022. The company blames a weak Brazilian CV market for this, largely due to the higher prices resulting from adoption of Euro VI technology at the beginning of the year in 2023. Daimler Trucks North America sold 195,014 in 2023, 4% more than in the previous year. Trucks Asia increased sales by 3% in 2023, to 161,171 units. Finally, Daimler Buses recorded a strong sales result of 26,168 buses, an increase of 9% compared with 2022.
