Colombian CV sales falls 41.7% in first quarter

Colombia - Sales of heavy commercial vehicles in the Colombian market were negative for the third month in a row this year, according to data from Andemos (National Association for Sustainable Mobility). 2,518 vehicles were sold in the first three months of the year, compared with 4,318 in the same period in 2023, a drop of 41.7%.

All segments showed a decline, except for busetas (which are small vans for transporting passengers). In trucks, registrations decreased by 40.5% to 2,127 units for January to March this year, as compared with 3,574 for the same period in the previous year. Buses and coaches, the decrease was 47.4% with 391 units, compared with 744 in the same period in 2023.
