Peru - Contrary to the performance recorded by most Latin American countries, Peru experienced a positive performance in commercial vehicles sales in the first quarter of 2024. According to data from the AAP (Automotive Association of Peru), 4,300 units were sold, a modest increase compared with 3,968 in the same period last year.

Both the truck and the bus and coach markets showed an increase in registrations. From January to March 2024, 3,702 trucks were sold, an increase of 6.7% compared with 3,468 units in 2023, and some 598 buses and coaches were sold, an increase of 19.8% over the 499 vehicles invoiced previously in the same quarter of 2023.
