Alexander Dennis to deliver 29 Enviro500EV double-deck buses to Canada

Canada / USA / UK – UK bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) based in Larbert, Scotland, has won a contract to deliver 29 of its next-generation Enviro500EV electric double-deck buses, to Canadian transport operator BC Transit* in British Columbia, Canada. The vehicles will be built in North America, through build partner Big Rig Manufacturing of Las Vegas, USA.

ADL stated that the Enviro500EV three-axle vehicles use a Voith Electrical Drive System giving it a peak power output of 410kW combined with 472kWh batteries assembled by Impact Clean Power Technology. Each of the new Enviro500EVs will be able to carry up to 130 passengers, with 82 seats available.
