Waabi raises USD200m towards commercial deployment of driverless trucks in 2025

Canada Waabi Innovation Inc of Toronto, Ontario has announced that it raised USD200m in its Series B funding round for investment in its autonomous truck technology, which it aims to launch commercially next year.

In an apparently oversubscribed funding series, led by Uber and Khosla Ventures, Waabi raised money primarily from companies such as Nvidia, Porsche, and Ingka Investments, and additional sums from HarbourVest Partners, G2 Venture Partners, BDC Capital, Export Development Canada, Radical Ventures, Incharge Capital, and more. Returning investor Volvo Group also committed more money during the funding round, following its initial investment in the tech startup over a year ago.
