Waabi’s self-driving system, ‘Waabi Driver’, will be vertically integrated with Volvo Group NA’s autonomous-ready trucks on the production line at New River Valley in Dublin, Virginia, USA.

The Series B investments bring the Canadian startup’s total invested capital to USD280m.

There are several acres of parking for trailers, a 24,700-square-foot building with offices and workshops, a fuel station, truck weighing scales, and other facilities. 

Multinational tech company Nvidia has announced it is supplying its next-generation automotive computer architecture – boasting a processing power of up to 2,000 teraflops – to multiple OEMs and developers of autonomous driving technologies, including Plus and Waabi.

Waabi has developed an autonomous driving program which it taught using its own simulation software, which provides a set of driving scenarios to actively teach and assess AI drivers.
