Busworld Turkey 2024: ABB launches energy efficient motor and inverter package for electric buses

Turkey - Following on from the launch of the first 3-level HES580 inverter for buses at Busworld Europe by Zurich-based electronics company, ABB Ltd last October, the ABB Motion division has now launched a new electric motor, the AMXE250 at Busworld Turkey. ABB announced that a new more efficient and reliable propulsion package tailored for electric buses, consisting of the AMXE250 motor and the HES580 inverter, is now available.
The new AMXE250 e-motor is a compact, permanent magnet synchronous motor designed for high-efficiency propulsion. The motor also offers high torque density for improved dynamic performance, as well as a quieter operation for increased passenger comfort.
