Cummins celebrates 50th anniversary of Jamestown Engine Plant

USA – Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana celebrated on 19 July the fiftieth anniversary of its Jamestown Engine Plant, which recently produced its 2.5-millionth engine.
Cummins announced in April that it would be investing USD452m in order to refit the plant. At Jamestown, Cummins will begin production of the ‘X15N’ gas engine, based on its new fuel-agnostic platform.
Established in 1974, the Jamestown Engine Plant is located outside the village of Lakewood, on the western edge of Jamestown, New York. The facility covers 998,000 square feet.
