IAA Transportation 2024: Karin Rådström to succeed Martin Daum as the CEO of Daimler Truck

Germany – The supervisory board of Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg announced that Karin Rådström is set to succeed Martin Daum as the CEO of Daimler Truck effective October 1, 2024. Rådström has been a key figure in the company since joining its Board of Management in 2021, where she led the Mercedes-Benz Trucks division. She played a significant role in driving profitability and advancing the sustainability agenda, including launching new battery-electric trucks. Before joining Daimler Truck, Rådström was a member of the Executive Board at Scania holding the position of Senior Vice President, Head of Buses & Coaches.

Martin Daum, who has been instrumental in shaping Daimler Truck's global presence and led its transformation towards electric and hydrogen-based drivetrains, will remain on the Board of Management until the end of 2024 to ensure a smooth transition. Daum's leadership has been crucial in establishing Daimler Truck as a major player, especially in the North American market​.
