ABB E-mobility appoints Brandt Hastings as President of North American operations

USA / Switzerland – ABB E-mobility B.V. (ABB Ltd of Zürich, Switzerland owning 80%) has appointed Brandt Hastings as President of North American operations, effective immediately. Hastings has many years of experience in the EV charging industry having previously been CEO and President of Volta Charging in North America. Hastings will be tasked with strengthening its presence in the fast-growing North American market for EV charging solutions.
The expansion into North America will be enabled by the recent establishment of a manufacturing facility for EV charging stations in Columbia, South Carolina. This new factory aims to produce up to 10,000 chargers per year, serving both the passenger and CV markets. It is designed to meet U.S. market demand and adhere to "Buy America" regulations, making the products eligible for funding under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program.
