Colombia sees CV market fall by 27.7% in year to September

Colombia - In line with most Latin American markets, the Colombian CV market finished the period January to September 2024 with a 27.7% decrease in sales, according to data from the National Association for Sustainable Mobility (Andemos) of Bogotá; 7,330 vehicles were registered during the three-quarter period compared with 10,145 in the same period last year.

Except for minibus sales, all CV segments saw a decline in sales. Sales of trucks of 10.5 tons gvw and below totalled 3,363 units, 9.3% fewer than the 3,706 trucks registered in the same period in 2023. Among the brands, Chevrolet led the segment of trucks up to 10.5 tons with 1,302 units, followed by Foton, with 967; and JAC, with 498 vehicles.
