Zepp Solutions' Europa truck at a hydrogen fuel station

NetherlandsZepp Solutions BV of Delft, Netherlands has announced that it will put ten fuel cell electric trucks on the road over the next three years, thanks to money provided through a government subsidy for hydrogen technology.

Zepp will deploy ten ‘Europa’ 4x2 tractor units for long-distance applications. These trucks, announced in 2023 and showcased at IAA Transportation 2024, are based on the Mercedes-Benz Actros and are powered by a 150-kW fuel cell module developed by Zepp. The company says the Europa truck offers a range of more than 700 kilometres as a 50-tonne combination and can tow 45-foot containers on a standard ISO trailer.
