Hyundai deploys fleet of FCEV heavy trucks at US plant

USA / South Korea – South Korean automaker, Hyundai Motor Group (HMG), headquartered in Seoul, announced in early December that it had deployed a fleet of Hyundai Xcient heavy-duty hydrogen fuel-cell electric (FCEV) trucks built and supplied by HMG at its newly-built vehicle EV and battery assembly plant in the US state of Georgia, as part of the company’s clean logistics initiative.

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America Inc (HMGMA)*, in cooperation with HMG’s logistics unit Hyundai Glovis Company, began operating a fleet of 21 Class-8 Xcient hydrogen FCEV trucks to deliver automotive parts from suppliers to its vehicle assembly plant in Bryan Country, just west of the city of Savannah in Georgia.
