South Korea revises subsidies for hydrogen-powered buses

South Korea – The Ministry of Environment announced that from the beginning of 2025 only hydrogen-powered buses that meet its minimum performance standards, including minimum hydrogen fuel cell power output and driving range, will qualify for government subsidies.

In its “2025 Hydrogen Electric Vehicle Subsidy Program Guidelines” released on 1st January, the Ministry said that even if hydrogen-powered buses do meet its minimum performance standards, higher subsidies will be awarded to the best-performing models in term of range and power output.
