BYD and Castrosua collaboration bearing fruit

BYD-Castrosua 12-metre electric buses
Spain – The electric bus manufacturing partnership between BYD Europe BV, of Schiedam, Netherlands - the European subsidiary of Shenzhen, China-based BYD Auto Co Ltd - and Spanish bodybuilder Carrocera Castrosua S.A. of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, is bearing fruit having delivered 21 battery electric buses to Spanish operator Arriva. These buses have now been delivered and incorporated into Madrid's urban transit system.
Produced in Spain, the BYD-Castrosua 12-metre eBuses have been built on the BYD electric chassis with Castrasua 'Nelec' electric bus bodywork. With space for 92 passengers, the bus has a battery capacity of 422 kWh for a range of more than 450 kilometres.
