Donaldson and DTNA collaborate on the Supertruck III project

USA - Filtrations company, Donaldson Company Inc of Bloomington, Minnesota, USA is set to supply its air filter technology to be featured on Daimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA) of Portland, Oregon, (a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG of Stuttgart, Germany), next-generation HFC Freightliner SuperTruck III demonstrator vehicle. The vehicle will be produced as part of the existing SuperTruck program co-funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Industry and is aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Class 8 long-haul HGVs. DTNA has received USD 26 million from the DOE for this project.

While the SuperTruck I and II projects have been focused on developing more efficient diesel engines since 2011, the third project aims to develop an efficient HFC demonstrator truck.
