Turkey –Anadolu Isuzu (Anadolu Isuzu Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ*) of Istanbul announced that it has started series production of the Big.e delivery vehicle at its Çayırova production facility in Kocaeli, Turkey. Designed for the last-mile delivery segment, the company is targeting 700 to 1,000 units annually. This is a part of a wider strategy to expand its product portfolio beyond midibuses into the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment. While the primary market for the BIG.e remains Turkey, the company is actively preparing for export to European markets. So far, no major fleet orders have been announced.

The Big.e delivery vehicle offers a volume of four cubic metres, a load capacity of 1000 kg and a range of between 100 and 170km, depending on the battery configuration. Powered by a 9.4 kW electric motor, battery configurations include 10.5 kWh, 15.7 kWh or 21 kWh. The battery can be charged using a standard socket, and a full charge can be reached within five and nine hours. This project was first announced at the 2023 UITP Global Public Transport Summit.
