Scania launches new three-axle e-bus chassis

New 6x2*4 e-bus chassis from Scania

Sweden – Scania AB, a subsidiary of Traton based in Södertälje, Sweden, has launched a new three-axle bus chassis propelled by an e-powertrain which it launched last month.

Scania’s new 6x2*4 bus chassis joins a 4x2 configuration which it first presented at Busworld 2023. Like the 4x2, the 6x2*4 is a low entry chassis designed for urban, suburban, and some intercity applications. According to Scania, the new e-chassis was developed to meet the demands of medium- to heavy-duty operations with an increased passenger capacity compared to the 4x2.
