Canada / EgyptBallard Power Systems Inc., a manufacturer of fuel cell systems based in Burnaby, British Columbia, announced orders for 50 fuel cell engines (FCmove HD+) from Egyptian bus builder, MCV. The deal, totalling approximately 5 megawatts of power, includes an initial order of 35 units, with deliveries scheduled between 2025 and 2026 to support zero-emission bus projects in the European Union.

This agreement builds upon the partnership initiated in 2022, which began with fuel cell engine integration support and led to the first engine order in 2023. MCV, known for its work with Volvo and its electric city bus, is now expanding into hydrogen fuel cell technology for European markets.
