ABB to invest USD 120 million into North American manufacturing plants

New 320,000 sq. ft. facility to be built in Selmer, Tennessee

USA / Switzerland – After opening its newly refitted U.S. robotics facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan, last year, ABB Ltd of Zürich, Switzerland, has committed a further USD 120 million to expand its U.S. manufacturing footprint. The investment includes the construction of a new 320,000-square-foot facility in Selmer, Tennessee, and the expansion of its existing site in Senatobia, Mississippi. According to the company, these facilities will manufacture critical equipment such as circuit breakers, switchgear, and other electrical distribution products essential for “powering high-demand environments like Commercial EV fleet depots, truck terminals, and commercial garages.” ABB’s latest move strengthens local supply chains.
