Daimler Buses is looking to expand its e-services portfolio

Germany – After establishing its electric charging infrastructure subsidiary (Daimler Buses Solutions GmbH) last year, Daimler Buses GmbH (owned by Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany) announced that the company’s strategy to grow its e-services portfolio includes rolling out enhanced digital fleet solutions, depot infrastructure, and turnkey electrification support services to its customers. This comes after an extremely disappointing set of 2024 financial year results published by Daimler Truck.

At the core of its digital offering is the “OMNIplus ON platform”, which provides predictive maintenance, remote diagnostics, battery monitoring, and real-time vehicle data. This, according to Daimler Buses, leads to enhanced vehicle uptime. These services are free for new customers (three years for diesel buses and six years for electric buses) before transitioning to subscription-based models.
