Germany – At the UITP global summit, held in German city of Hamburg between 15-18 June, MAN Truck & Bus SE of Munich, Bavaria showcased its 2025 model year ‘Lion’s City’ electric bus with battery packs assembled at its newly-inaugurated Nuremberg facility.

The 10.5-metre bus on show was powered by four batteries installed on the roof, allowing for a low-floor design. Providing 356 kilowatt hours of energy storage, these battery packs carry nickel-manganese-cobalt cells which are packaged at MAN’s facility in Nuremberg. These packs will be installed in every 2025 model year ‘Lion’s City E’ bus produced by MAN.
