Magirus’ new owner unveils long-term transformation plan

Magirus headquarters in Ulm, Germany

Germany – Former Iveco subsidiary, fire truck manufacturer Magirus GmbH of Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, has announced a long-term “transformation” strategy under its new owner, including international expansion plans and a change in management at the top.

The new owner of Magirus, Mutares SE & Co KGaA, has ambitious plans for the company: by 2030, it aims to double Magirus revenues to over EUR750m per year while also reducing emissions from production to net zero. These goals will be achieved in large part by establishing new “cost-efficient” production sites in Romania and Croatia, expanding the company’s overall capacity to 350 turntable ladders and over 1,000 fire trucks per year.
