In Q3 2024, Iveco announced that it had reached an agreement with German private equity firm, Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, to sell its firefighting vehicle manufacturing unit (Magirus GmbH) for an undisclosed fee. That sale has now gone through.

The German manufacturer recently unveiled three new fire trucks: two with corrosion-resistant aluminium bodies, one with a body optimised for airport applications, and all with new driver display systems in the cab.

The German manufacturer will take advantage of Karba’s existing sales network for firefighting vehicles and equipment.

Magirus GmbH of Ulm, Germany has delivered the first of four Dragon X6 fire trucks to Silvio Pettirossi Airport in the city of Asunción, Paraguay; making it the first country in South America to receive this highly specialized vehicle.
